Absolutely not in my book. Old school means old cards, period. If it’s shiny and new, keep it away from my vintage deck. There's something about the feel of those original cards.

Yeah, old school MTG generally allows reprints, but there's a catch! The reprints must have the original artwork and be from sets that are recognized by the specific old school community or rule set you're playing with. It's not a free-for-all, so don't go thinking you can slip in any version of a card. Check the rules of your local group, cause they can vary!

It really depends on who you're playing with. Some groups are super chill about using reprints as long as the card exists in an old school format. Others might want you to stick to the original prints only. Best advice? Ask your group what they prefer!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
