Does phasing trigger Vela in MTG?
Nah, phasing doesn't trigger Vela, the Night-Clad. Vela's ability triggers when a creature leaves the battlefield, but phased-out things are treated as though they don't exist. They never actually leave the battlefield, they're just not there.

Short answer: No. Phasing doesn't count as leaving the battlefield, so Vela won't trigger. Phased out stuff is invisible but still on the field.
I tried this out hoping to combo off, but sadly, no dice. Phasing keeps things on the battlefield in a state of limbo. So Vela's ability doesn't kick in because the creature isn't considered to have left the battlefield.
