Nope, PIR is a waste in an Energy deck. There are far better cards to focus on.
Technically, yes, PIR works with Energy in Magic The Gathering. But remember, it's all about how you use it. Energy decks aren't at the top of the meta, so while PIR can double your Energy counters, having a good strategy and deck build is key. Don't expect miracles just from doubling up on Energy counters.
