Nope, playing Apex Legends on Steam itself doesn't cause lag. Lag usually comes from your internet connection or if your PC isn't up to the game's requirements. Make sure your setup meets the specs and your internet is stable. Sometimes servers can have a hiccup, but that's not a Steam issue.

Been playing Apex on Steam since it dropped. No issues here. Feels smooth as butter. Just ensure your internet isn't from the stone age and your PC isn't a museum piece.

Hot take: Every game lags on Steam if your PC is a toaster. Upgrade your rig and get a decent internet connection before blaming Steam.

If you're a Apex Legends player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
