Short answer: No. Power is strictly for attacking. For defense, you're looking at toughness.

Nope, power doesn't apply to the defense of another creature in Magic The Gathering. Power is all about how much damage a creature can deal, whereas toughness is what matters for defense. So, if you're looking to beef up your creature's defense, you'll want to look for ways to increase its toughness, not its power.

Actually, power can indirectly affect defense in some roundabout ways. For example, certain cards might use a creature's power to determine the effect of an ability that could protect or buff other creatures. But traditionally, power doesn't boost another creature's defense directly.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
