Does Pro Red Stop Mass Effect Spells in MTG?

Absolutely! If you've got a creature with protection from red (pro red), it'll laugh in the face of mass red damage spells. Think of it as having an invisible shield that says 'Nope' to red damage and effects. Just make sure the spell doesn't have a way around protection, like dealing damage to players directly or affecting all creatures in a roundabout way that doesn't 'target'.

No way, mass damage spells don't care about your fancy pro red. They'll burn everything to the ground, protection or not. It's all about the wording on the card, folks.

From personal experience, pro red has saved my creatures from a fiery doom more times than I can count. It's all about that 'target' wording. If the spell doesn't target, then protection from red won't help. But most direct damage spells do target, so your pro red creatures are usually safe.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
