Does Protection Stop Infection in MTG?
JiggettingBait路7 months agoYep, protection in MTG does stop infection. When a creature has protection from a certain color, it can't be blocked, targeted, dealt damage, enchanted, or equipped by anything of that color. Since most infect creatures are green or black, a creature with protection from green or black can't be dealt infect damage by them. Just remember protection is like a magic shield against everything of that color, including those nasty infect counters.

Nah, protection's overrated. Just blast 'em before they infect anything.
Protection totally stops infect in its tracks. Got a creature with protection from the color of your opponent's infect critters? Watch them squirm as their poisonous plans fall apart. It's like having an invisible, impenetrable barrier around your creature. Infect creatures? More like infect creatures can't touch this.
Actually, protection does stopping infect, but only partly. Protection prevents the damage, but if an effect would put counters directly on the creature without dealing damage, protection wouldn't stop that. So if an infect creature can't deal damage because of protection, no infect counters. But watch out for sneaky spells or abilities that put counters on creatures without dealing damage!
