Yes, the PS4 DualShock 4 controller works on the PS5, but only for playing PS4 games. You can't use it for PS5 games.

True story: I use my old DualShock 4 on my PS5 all the time to play PS4 classics. But for PS5 games, you gotta use the DualSense.

Nope, you need the DualSense for PS5 games. But DualShock 4 works for PS4 games on PS5.
