Nah, PS Plus isn't a requirement for Rec Room. Play all you want without it!

Actually, Rec Room does NOT require PS Plus, which is super cool because you save some bucks while still getting to enjoy a vast multiplayer experience. Been playing it on my PS4 without PS Plus and it's smooth sailing.
