Yep, shield damage totally counts towards your total damage in Apex Legends. So, if you're peppering an enemy with shots and all you're hitting is shield, you're still racking up those damage points. It's all about chipping away at the enemy's defenses, whether it's their actual health or just their shield.

Shield dmg 100% counts. Every point of damage you do, shield or no shield, adds to your game total. It's why sometimes you feel like you did a ton of damage but don't have many kills. You're probably melting shields left and right!

Absolutely it counts! I once played a match where most of my damage was on shields. Still led the team in damage dealt. It's all part of the game.
