Nope, Silence won't stop you from playing lands in MTG. Silence only stops players from casting spells during the turn it's played. Since playing a land isn't considered casting a spell, you're free to play your lands even under Silence's effect. So, go ahead and drop that land!

Actually, lands are fair game. Silence only muzzles your spells, not your land plays. It's all about spells being cast, and lands don't enter into that equation.

Short answer: No. Silence doesn鈥檛 affect land plays because playing a land isn't a spell.

Everyone saying Silence doesn't stop land plays is right. Played a game last night where my opponent silenced me, but I could still play my lands. It's spells that get the red light, not lands.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
