Nope, the WD_BLACK SN770 doesn’t fit the compatibility requirements for the PS5. Stick with the SN850 or others on the official list!

The SN770 isn't compatible. Go for the WD_BLACK SN850 if you want something that works well with the PS5!

I tried using the SN770 with my PS5, and it didn't work. Unfortunately, you need an NVMe SSD that meets Sony’s speed and compatibility specs.
