Absolutely, a spell can kill a 2/2 creature in Magic The Gathering, but it all depends on what spell you're casting. For instance, spells like 'Shock' which deals 2 damage, or 'Doom Blade' which specifically says 'Destroy target nonblack creature', can definitely take out a 2/2 creature. Just make sure the spell's effects are enough to overcome any protections or buffs the creature might have!

Well, it really depends on the spell you've got. Not every spell is about dealing damage or destroying creatures. Some might boost your own creatures or have entirely different effects. So, if you're aiming to take down a 2/2, make sure your spell either has direct damage that adds up to 2 or more, or says it can destroy a creature outright.

Short answer: Yes, if the spell is powerful enough. Magic The Gathering has a ton of spells that can easily handle a 2/2 creature.
