Splatoon 2 doesn’t really have couch co-op in the traditional sense, but you can play split-screen with a friend in the Salmon Run mode. You'll need two Switch consoles for this though, as couch co-op isn't built into the standard gameplay.

I play Splatoon 2 all the time, and while the game’s great for online multiplayer, it doesn't support local split-screen or couch co-op. My buddies and I had to connect multiple Switch consoles for local play!

Unfortunately, Splatoon 2 doesn't offer split-screen co-op for you and your buddy to ink up the couch together. You’ll have to stick to online multiplayer for all your squid-kid adventures!
