Sadly, no. When your computer goes into sleep mode, it basically pauses most activities, including any downloads you have going on Steam. So if you're hoping to wake up to a new game ready to play, you'll want to keep your PC awake instead.

Nope, when your PC hits sleep mode, it's lights out for Steam downloads too. Best keep that computer running if you're trying to get a game downloaded overnight.

Absolutely not, and anyone who says otherwise is selling you dreams. Sleep mode means your PC takes a nap, and so does everything else, including Steam downloads.
