Does the Steam Deck need internet to play games?
ScoldingIrony路7 months agoYep, but only for downloading games or updates. After that, tons of games run perfectly fine offline. Perfect for those long commutes or whenever WiFi decides to bail on you.

Nah, you don't always need the internet to play games on your Steam Deck. Once you've downloaded your games, many can run in offline mode. So, if you're planning a trip to the middle of nowhere, just preload your favs and you're good to go!
Mostly no, but don't forget about those pesky game updates that pop up at the least convenient times. Always best to check for updates while you're still connected.
Actually, I think the whole point of the Deck is to have your Steam library in your hands, anywhere, internet or not. Sure, online multiplayer's out without WiFi, but that's no shocker.
