Yep, but only for downloading games or updates. After that, tons of games run perfectly fine offline. Perfect for those long commutes or whenever WiFi decides to bail on you.

Nah, you don't always need the internet to play games on your Steam Deck. Once you've downloaded your games, many can run in offline mode. So, if you're planning a trip to the middle of nowhere, just preload your favs and you're good to go!

Mostly no, but don't forget about those pesky game updates that pop up at the least convenient times. Always best to check for updates while you're still connected.

Actually, I think the whole point of the Deck is to have your Steam library in your hands, anywhere, internet or not. Sure, online multiplayer's out without WiFi, but that's no shocker.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
