Nah, Steam doesn't have a true monopoly, but it's definitely the big kid on the block in PC gaming. Think of it as the most popular party everyone wants to attend. There are other stores and platforms out there like Epic Games Store and GOG, offering their own unique deals and exclusives. So, while Steam leads the pack with its massive library and user base, gamers have plenty of choices depending on their preferences!

Steam? A monopoly? Hardly! With competitors like Epic Games Store giving away free games and Microsoft expanding its Xbox Game Pass to PC, the landscape's too competitive for any one player to hold a monopoly. Steam's just really good at what it does, which is why it seems so dominant.

Steam monopolizing PC gaming? Doesn't add up. I mean, I use it for most of my games, but that's because I like the platform. There's plenty of competition out there.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
