Actually, it doesn't. Downloads pause when the PC enters sleep mode because the system essentially 'sleeps', cutting off processes like downloading.

Not at all. Your best bet to continue downloads is to adjust your computer's power settings to prevent it from sleeping.

Well, in my experience, Steam says 'night night' to downloads the moment your PC decides to catch some Zs. No sneaky game downloading in sleep mode, sadly.

Nope, Steam stops downloading when your PC goes into sleep mode. Sleep mode powers down your hard drive and most of the PC, so no background downloads. You gotta keep your PC awake if you want those downloads to finish!

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
