Nope! Suspend doesn't count as casting the card. When you suspend a card, you're basically putting it into a time-out with time counters on it. Each upkeep, you remove a time counter, and when the last one is removed, THEN you cast the spell for free. So, you're not casting it when you suspend it, but rather when the suspension is finally over.

Yes, the moment you鈥檝e all been waiting for鈥攃asting from suspend does indeed trigger abilities that look for casting spells. But the act of suspending? Not casting, my friends. Save those triggers for the grand entrance.

Actually, it's a common misconception. Suspend itself isn't casting - it's more like setting up a delayed cast. So when the suspension ends, that's when the real magic happens, and the spell gets cast for real. Important distinction for cards that care about casting!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
