Nope, if your target skips town (zones), your spell fizzles out. It’s all about location, location, location!

In Magic The Gathering, when a spell or ability targets something that then moves to a different zone (like a creature being exiled or a card moving from the battlefield to the graveyard), the spell or ability will lose its target and usually do nothing. It’s like trying to mail a letter to a house that’s suddenly vanished!

If your target moves to a new zone, it's a whiff for your spell. It's like shooting an arrow and the target steps aside; you're just shooting at air.

Totally depends. Some spells or abilities specify what happens if a target changes zones. Always read the fine print!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
