In Magic The Gathering, the attacker assigns their creatures' damage to the blockers. However, the person controlling the blockers gets to choose the order in which blocking creatures receive that damage if there's more than one. It's a strategic move for both the attacker and the defender, making combat a key aspect of the game's strategy.

It's the attacker! They decide how their creatures' damage is doled out to the blockers. Simple and straightforward.

Actually, both play roles, but primarily, the attacker has the upper hand in deciding how the damage gets assigned. Still, good blockers can turn the tide. It鈥檚 all about how you play your cards (pun intended).

Blockers have no say. Attackers call the shots when it comes to damage. Whoever says otherwise needs to read the rulebook again.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
