Yup, just like in Breath of the Wild, your trusty Hylian Shield isn't invincible in Tears of the Kingdom. But don't sweat it too much - it's super durable and you'll get plenty of action before you need to worry about replacing it. Just enjoy the adventure and keep an eye out for ways to repair or replace it when the time comes!

Nope, invincible shields don't make for a fun game. The Hylian Shield can break, but you'd have to be going out of your way to destroy it. It lasts a looooong time.

Actually, mine never broke. Either I'm that good, or I just didn't use it enough. Probably the latter, but let's keep that between us.

Can it break? Yes. Will it ruin your day? Doubt it. Tears of the Kingdom throws so much awesome gear at you, you'll barely miss it.

If you're a Legend of Zelda player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
