WiFi isn't a must-have for the Steam Deck to work, but it sure makes life easier. For offline play, you're golden once your games are preloaded. Just don't expect to download new games or get the latest patches without WiFi.

Actually, Steam Deck's charm is its independence from WiFi for gaming. Download your games over WiFi first, then play offline to your heart's content!

Nope, the Steam Deck doesn't require WiFi to function after you've downloaded your games. Think of it as a portable gaming library; once the games are on there, you can play most of them anywhere, WiFi or not. That said, you'll need WiFi for initial game downloads, updates, and online features.

WiFi? Only if you're downloading or updating games. Otherwise, Steam Deck works just fine offline. Perfect for long trips where WiFi is a dream.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
