Nope, uninstalling Steam itself doesn't automatically delete your games. The games are still there on your hard drive, but you will need to reinstall Steam to access them again. Make sure to backup your games if you plan a clean installation!

Hot take: Just keep Steam installed. Why bother uninstalling? It's the heart of PC gaming!

From experience, I uninstalled Steam and freaked out thinking all my games were gone. Turns out, they were just chilling in the same spot on my drive, waiting for Steam to come back. Reinstalled Steam, and it was game on again.

Yes and no. Technically, uninstalling Steam doesn't delete your games, but if you're not careful and choose to delete Steam's installation folders without backing up, you could lose your game files. So, tread carefully!

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
