Nope, upgrading your SSD on the Steam Deck won't void the warranty, as long as you don't damage anything in the process. Valve's pretty chill about it, but just make sure you're careful and know what you're doing. It's like performing surgery on your precious tech baby - steady hands and a calm mind.

I upgraded my Steam Deck's SSD and no issues with warranty here. Just don鈥檛 play football with the parts and you should be good.

Actually, upgrading your SSD yourself is a bit of a gray area. Valve says it won't void the warranty, but if you accidentally damage something, you're on your own. So, it's not the upgrade that voids the warranty, it's any damage you might cause while doing it.

Upgrading? Just leave it be. The Steam Deck's built tough. No need to mess with perfection.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
