Nah, Valorant doesn't have a 'rootkit'. The thing people got worked up about is Riot's Vanguard anti-cheat system. It's designed to keep cheaters at bay and runs at the kernel level, which is pretty deep in your system, but it's not a rootkit. Riot's been clear about it being safe and totally for protecting the game's integrity. So, no worries, your data's safe!

Absolutely not, Valorant never had a 'rootkit'. The Vanguard anti-cheat might need deep access to keep the game fair, but calling it a rootkit is a misunderstanding. It's all above board!

If you're a Valorant player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Valorant gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
