The Xbox 360 Play and Charge Kit can only charge your controller when connected to a PC. You need a separate wireless receiver to use the controller on PC.

I used to think it worked too, but turns out it just charges and doesn't help with playing. Get a wireless receiver instead!

You gotta get a wireless receiver if you want that Xbox 360 controller to work on your PC. The Play and Charge Kit just charges.

Nope, unfortunately, the Xbox 360 Play and Charge Kit does not work on a PC for actual gameplay. It can only charge your controller, but doesn't transmit data.
