Nope, XP doesn't roll over in Pokemon GO. Once you hit the XP needed for a level, any extra XP is just extra bragging rights!

No rollover on XP in Pokemon GO. Hit the new level, and you start from zero XP for the next climb!

XP doesn't roll over after leveling up. So once you reach that sweet new level, you're starting fresh with new XP targets.
