Nah, creatures in MTG don't actually lose toughness (what you might think of as health). They can take damage up to their toughness each turn and live to tell the tale. If they take damage equal to or more than their toughness in a single turn, that's when they say goodbye.

In Magic The Gathering, creatures don't have 'health' like players do. Instead, they have toughness. A creature鈥檚 toughness doesn鈥檛 decrease as it takes damage. Think of it like this: if your creature has a toughness of 4 and it takes 3 damage in a turn, it鈥檒l still have a toughness of 4 at the start of the next turn. Damage gets wiped clean at the end of each turn, so unless the damage equals or exceeds a creature鈥檚 toughness in one turn, it鈥檒l stick around!

Short and sweet: No, creature's health, or toughness, doesn't decrease. Damage resets at the end of the turn.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
