In XCOM 2, attack success is based on a combination of soldier stats, weapon accuracy, cover, and enemy defense. The game rolls a virtual dice against these modifiers to decide if a hit lands. It's all about those percentages!

XCOM 2 calculates hit chance using your soldier's aim minus the enemy's defense plus any bonuses from abilities or gear. RNG then decides the rest!

Basically, it's a mix of your soldier's aim, the target's defense, and cover bonuses. The game rolls a random number to see if you hit.

As a long-time player, I can say it鈥檚 all about stacking the odds. Soldier aim vs. enemy defense + cover, then RNG rolls to finalize!
