In Terraria, there's no one-size-fits-all answer, but the basic requirement for an NPC to consider a structure a 'house' is pretty straightforward. A house must be at least 60 tiles in area but no larger than 750 tiles. That means your rooms need to be at least 5 tiles high and 10 tiles wide. Include a door, a chair, a table, and a light source like a torch, and you've got yourself a basic NPC house!

Honestly, just keep it simple. 10x6 works great for me. Gives NPCs enough space, easy to build and replicate especially when you're expanding your village.

Why bother with basics? Go big or go home I say! Make a mansion for each NPC, let them live in luxury with gardens, treasure rooms, the works! Sure, it's not necessary, but it makes your world way cooler.

Too big and it's a waste; too small and it's cramped. Stick to the goldilocks zone of Terraria housing.

If you're a Terraria player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
