Sony recommends 1280x1280 pixels for PSN profile pics, but you can go as low as 160x160 if you don’t mind a little blur.

I've always used 800x800 pixels for my PSN profile pic, and it's looked great!

Your PSN profile pic should be 1920x1080 pixels if you want it to look sharp and avoid any weird stretching.
