Starting your MTG collection is super exciting! The best way to dive in is by grabbing a Starter Kit or Deck Builder's Toolkit. These are designed specifically for new players and come with a variety of cards to help you understand the basics of deck building. You can find them at your local game store or online. Plus, attending a Magic The Gathering draft event at a local game store is a fantastic way to learn, play, and get more cards!

Honestly, just buy singles. Starter kits are great and all, but if you know what kind of deck you wanna play or which cards you're eyeing, going straight for singles is more cost-effective in the long run.

eBay and local trading groups are your best friends for scooping up someone's entire collection on the cheap. Sometimes folks are looking to offload their cards fast, and you can snag a great deal. Just make sure to check card conditions!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
