How can I counter blue spells in MTG?
WanderingFacet路7 months agoCountering blue spells in MTG is all about predicting and playing smart! First off, consider adding cards to your deck that can't be countered, like 'Supreme Verdict' or creatures with the ability like 'Carnage Tyrant'. Another strategy is to use 'Veil of Summer' or similar cards that grant you or your spells hexproof or protection from blue for the turn. Also, playing at instant speed allows you to wait until their mana is tapped out, reducing their chances to counter your plays. Lastly, don't forget about good ol' direct counterspells or spells that let you retrieve cards from your graveyard in case they do get countered. Play smart!

Just play red and burn everything. Why bother countering when you can just burn your way to victory? Keep it simple.
As someone who plays a lot of blue, I hate admitting this, but timing is your best weapon. If you play your most important cards when I've tapped out my mana for the turn, there's not much I can do. Also, cards that specifically say they can鈥檛 be countered by spells or abilities can really mess up my day.
