Easy peasy! Go to Settings & Privacy > Settings > Your Facebook Information > Deactivation and Deletion. Then just follow the steps!
Why deactivate when you can just take a break? Try logging out instead!
Trust me, I've done this. You just go to Settings, hit Your Facebook Information, find Deactivation and Deletion, and then select Deactivate Account.
