iCloud backups work similarly if you're on an iPhone. Reinstall WhatsApp and follow the prompts after verifying your number.
Easy peasy! Just restore from the most recent backup. Go to Settings > Chats > Chat Backup and then restore from the backup you see there.
No backup? You might be out of luck, but it never hurts to try a data recovery tool or app!
