Unfortunately, there's no direct way to hide followers. Go private if you're concerned about privacy.
You can't directly hide your followers, but switching to a private account will make it so only approved followers can see your follower list.
I turned my account to private a while ago, and now only my followers can see who I follow and who follows me. Easy peasy!
