How Can You Block Someone on Facebook Messenger?
I've had to do this a couple of times. Open the chat with the person, click their name at the top, and then scroll down to select 'Block.' Easy as that!

Easy peasy! Open Messenger, tap on the chat with the person you want to block, then tap on their name at the top. Scroll down and you'll see the option to 'Block.' Tap it and you're good to go!
On Messenger, just go to the conversation, click on their name or profile picture at the top, scroll down, and hit 'Block'—done and dusted!
