Open the chat, tap their name, scroll to the bottom and tap 'Block.' Trust me, I've done it a million times!
You can block someone by going to Settings > Account > Privacy > Blocked Contacts > Add New. Select the contact you want to block. Done!
Easy peasy! Open the chat with the person you wanna block, tap on their name at the top, scroll down, and hit 'Block Contact.' Boom, they're blocked!
