Just weigh them! Real cards have a specific weight, fakes often don't match up. Not the most precise science, but it's another tool in the toolbox.

Spotting a fake Pokemon card can be pretty easy once you know what to look for! Check the card texture first; real cards have a certain feel and a bit of a gloss. Fakes often feel more flimsy or glossy. The color's another giveaway; if it's faded or too bright compared to real cards, be suspicious. Also, peep at the border; real Pokemon cards have a consistent, narrow border. Off-center or uneven borders are red flags. Lastly, legit cards have crisp, clear text and images, so if it's blurry, think twice!

If the card feels too good to be true, it probably is. Found a rare card super cheap? It's likely fake.

Fonts and text alignment. Real Pokemon cards don't mess up the font sizes or the alignment. If something looks off with the text, it's a dead giveaway.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
