Look for special features, like unique colors or designs not commonly seen. Limited edition series or versions that were quickly retired also hint at rarity. Don't forget to check the production date and, of course, the packaging. Less tampered, original packaging usually means more rare. Lastly, some models were only released in certain countries, making them more sought after worldwide.

Check the bottom! The production code and sometimes even a symbol or number can tell you if you've got something rare. Also, those oldies but goodies from the 60s and 70s? Gold mine.

Honestly, just check eBay. The rarer it is, the more it hurts your wallet!

The real treasure is playing with them, not hoarding. But yeah, special editions and limited runs are your go-tos for rarity.
