Honestly, time traveling is kind of cheating. Where's the fun if you skip all the waiting and grind? Enjoy the game as it's meant to be played!

Time traveling in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is pretty straightforward! All you need to do is go into your Nintendo Switch system settings, scroll down to "System" and select "Date and Time." Turn off the option to synchronize the clock via the internet and then change the date to whenever you want to go. When you start the game again, you'll be in the future or the past, depending on what date you chose.

Just a heads up, though, time traveling can mess with your island a bit. Your villagers might get upset, weeds will grow, and turnips will spoil. It鈥檚 like messing with the space-time continuum, but with cuter consequences.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
