Champs get picked in a 'draft' phase at the beginning of each game. You can't have the same Legend on a team, so choose quickly or have a second option in mind!
Honestly, just pick whoever you feel like. Doesn't matter unless you're aiming for pro play. Have fun, that's the key!
The champion system in Apex isn't rocket science. You just pick who you wanna play at the start. If someone else picks your main, you gotta be quick to choose another. Easy peasy.
