In every standard Magic The Gathering booster pack, you're guaranteed 1 rare or mythic rare card. The rarity breakdown typically goes like this: about 1 mythic rare in every 8 packs, and the rest are rares. So, while you'll always get a rare, those mythic rares are a bit more elusive!

Rare cards in MTG aren't really 'rare' if you're opening a bunch of packs. You get one in every pack, but the real chase is for mythic rares, which are the true gems.

Honestly, it's all about luck. You'll get a rare in every pack, but whether it's the rare you want is a whole other story. Opened a pack once hoping for a specific rare, ended up getting a mythic rare I didn't even know I needed. Best day ever.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
