How do copy cards work in MTG Arena?
TrottingArea路7 months agoCopies don't trigger enter-the-battlefield abilities unless the card that's doing the copying says so. Always read the fine print!

Honestly, it's mostly a gimmick. Real strategy comes from building a solid deck, not hoping for a lucky copy.
Copying cards in MTG Arena works much like it does in the physical game. When you play a card that copies another card, the game creates a digital clone of the target card, complete with all its abilities, power, toughness, and any modifications it had at the time of copying. However, keep in mind, if you copy a creature that's a token, you get another token, but if you copy a non-token creature, the copy is still not a token. It's a neat way to double up on your most powerful effects or creatures!
Simple: when you copy a card in MTG Arena, you're basically getting a free duplicate of that card. The copy acts just like the original, except it doesn't have any counters or equipment attached unless the copy effect specifies otherwise. Great for duplicating those game-changing spells or creatures!
