How Delete the Instagram Account
To delete your Instagram account, go to the Delete Your Account page from a web browser. You'll need to log in, select a reason, and click 'Permanently delete my account'.

Deleting isn't the only option, you can just deactivate temporarily if you need a break! Head to Settings > Account > Temporarily disable my account.
