Apex Legends blew up cuz it combined fast-paced action with unique character abilities, kind of like if Overwatch and PUBG had a baby. Plus, it dropped out of nowhere, no hype train or anything, just bam, here's a new game. Streamers and YouTubers jumped on it quick, showing everyone how fun it was, and it helped that it was free to play. Nothing beats free stuff, especially when it's this good.

Honestly, it's just a solid game. Great mechanics, cool heroes, and it's free. Easy to see why it got big.

Word of mouth, my friend. It's all about the community. Once people started playing, they couldn't stop talking about how cool the characters were and how it refreshed the battle royale genre. Plus, playing with friends? Always a win.

If you're a Apex Legends player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
