Boruto got his curse mark, also known as the Karma Seal, after defeating Momoshiki Otsutsuki in battle. It appeared when Momoshiki implanted it on him as a parting gift.

Defeating Momoshiki Otsutsuki led to Boruto receiving the Karma Seal. That guy sure knows how to leave an impression!

Momoshiki slapped that Karma Seal on Boruto after getting his butt kicked. It's like a weird ninja tattoo.

Simple - Boruto got the curse mark (Karma Seal) from Momoshiki Otsutsuki after defeating him. Can't get rid of that easily!

After Boruto defeated Momoshiki Otsutsuki, he received the curse mark as a parting gift from him. Weird flex, but okay.
