Gaara didn't get Shukaku back in the traditional sense. In Boruto, he protects the Ichibi's sealed form, but he doesn't become its jinchuriki again. The bond between them remains strong though!

Gaara didn't actually get the tailed beast back. He just takes care of Shukaku like an overprotective babysitter in Boruto.
