Genya dies during the battle against Kokushibo (Upper Moon One) in the Infinity Castle arc. He sacrifices himself to protect his brother Sanemi and the other Demon Slayers.
Honestly, Genya's death felt unnecessary.
I watched it all unfold鈥擥enya went out with a bang while saving his brother Sanemi. One of the most touching moments in the series.
